About Yuki

Yuki is a sweet, excitable boy looking for his forever home! While he didn’t quite have the right temperament for the Seeing Eye Dog program, he will make a wonderful pet for the right family. He’s affectionate, clever, and full of personality—always eager to be by your side.

Where I grew up

I was raised in a quiet home with two adults and no other pets. My carer worked from home, so I’m used to having company throughout the day.

A good fit for me is...

I’d thrive in an active household where someone is home most of the time and can maintain a consistent routine. I have lots of energy and need regular exercise—at least two walks or play sessions a day. A home with structure and positive reinforcement training will help me be my best self!

My personality traits

Affectionate & Loyal – I love to be with my people and will follow you everywhere!
Clever & Quick Learner – I pick up new things fast and enjoy training.
Energetic & Playful –I'm always happy to play. Initially i can be a little rough in play due to excitement when i meet new dogs, but with some settling time and guidance i do settle down.
Cheeky – I have a habit of taking things I shouldn’t (like socks and tea towels!), but I can be redirected.
Talkative – I’ve recently started alert barking but can be easily redirected. I may also whine when crated if I can see you outside.
Adventurous – I love getting out and about! Walks on a head collar help me focus and enjoy my outings.
Excited Around Kids – I get very enthusiastic when meeting children but settle down with time.

Yuki is still learning and needs a patient, dedicated family who will continue working on his training, especially around noise sensitivity and impulse control.
Yuki's adoption fee has been reduced as he will benefit from ongoing obedience training to help Yuki form strong bonds with his new owners.
